The Polka Dot Box features Yayoi Kusama. Yayoi Kusama is a Japanese artist who is sometimes called ‘the princess of polka dots'. Although she makes lots of different types of art. Yayoi creates events where she covers canvases, people and entire room in polka dots. She creates sculptures, makes clothes using dry macaroni and even rode a horse covered in polka dots around many parks.
The box contains 4 art projects inspired by Yayoi Kusama. Read Yayoi’s story, make a Yayoi inspired painting, create an infinity room, explore painting on ice and make a dotty sun catcher. This months ace illustration is designed by Rebecca Lea Williams.
